Providing Anesthesia Services for your Practice
STAR Anesthesia is a physician owned and operated medical group that provides anesthesia services throughout San Antonio, Houston and the surrounding areas. STAR’s providers have been a part of the south Texas healthcare family for over 30 years. Comprised of more than 200 providers, we offer anesthesia services across the full spectrum of specialty needs in more than 65 facilities. We provide anesthesia for over 160,000 cases per year. All of our providers are ACLS trained and board certified/board eligible.

STAR is committed to availability for your cases. You should never have to look around for anesthesia coverage at any facility or for any case. STAR has an internal mechanism called the STAR Promise such that we can contact all of our anesthesia providers in minutes to assure that you and your patients get prompt and reliable care. STAR will respond to your needs regardless if one of our providers is on call for the facility or not.
STAR PROMISE 24/7
STAR takes your patient’s safety and comfort seriously. We provide consistent quality standards and reliable service through internal Quality Assurance Committees, patient feedback via Survey Vitals, and a company-wide set of practice management policies that assure a high level of quality.
STAR is in network with all insurance plans. Your patients will never be surprised by a big out-of-network bill. Our billing department is available to provide estimates of patient responsibility estimates based on insurance and procedure parameters. We will work with your patients to setup payment plans and offer pre-payment discounts for self-pay cases.
Want to make your patient’s preoperative evaluation process more efficient and effective? STAR began anesthesia pre-op clinics in 2014. Ask us how we can better prepare your patients for anesthesia and how we can simplify the process for you and your staff. STAR offers access to virtual pre-op clinics that allow for continued use of established referral lines for the evaluations and then you or your staff sends the preoperative data to us and we will evaluate the information and submit it to the scheduled facility for you, if need be. If we find anything that would cancel or delay the case, we will contact you before the day of the procedure and provide recommendations.
